About this deal

The standard DJI charger, however, only has a power output of 18W. So using a more powerful charger guarantees faster charging times. DJI’s warranties only protect users against craftsmanship errors, not user errors like charging with a third-party battery. If your drone incurs damage, you’d have to pay for the replacement yourself. There are not many ways you can insert the battery into your Mini 2 but there is a chance your battery is not fully inserted. Send an Online Repair Request to DJI and mail them your Intelligent Flight Battery. Short-circuiting

The battery is lightweight and streamlined for easy transportation. You can carry several of these batteries with you for a long day of flying the Mini 2 SE, such as for a professional project. The DJI Mini 2 battery won’t work when the temperature drops below 14 °F (-10 °C). If you are flying in an area where the temperature is below freezing point, that could be the reason. When DJI ship your drone, the batteries are put in a special sleep mode called ‘hibernation’. Before you can use your battery, you have to ‘wake them up’. The 31-minute value is put out by DJI following tests in ideal (windless) conditions. In reality, the weather isn’t always so accommodating to drone flights. Mini 2 pilots often report maximum flight times of around 22 minutes. For a more accurate reading of your battery level, you will have to turn your Mavic Mini 2 ON and connect it to your Fly App. By the way, it generally isn’t a cause for concern if your maximum flight times are turning out to be a little different.

There are always discussions about leaving a LiPo battery-powered device charging overnight and its potential consequences. However, some batteries come with more safety mechanisms than others. Many drones have so-called “intelligent Flight Batteries,” including DJI’s pricier models, and these benefit from built-in one-press charge meters. As it happens, the firm ditched this approach with the original Mini, opting instead to put the meter part of the airframe instead. The Mini 2 retains this approach with very similar (but technically different and not compatible) batteries. In both cases there is a button on the bottom of the drone, next to four white LEDs. These provide a crude histogram of remaining battery strength, or a ‘charging’ animation, for the battery in the drone – so nearly as good as one on the battery, but simpler and cheaper to make. The question is, how many cycles does it take to completely wear out the battery to the point where it is dead? You may be wondering why the drone’s weight increases from a simple battery switch. After all, it does seem unlikely. When the battery becomes hot during use, do not charge it immediately after. Handling the battery when it’s hot can cause burns, so give it 10 or more minutes to cool down, then charge it. The LiPo cells used in Mavic Mini 2 need to be stored properly at an appropriate voltage to minimize battery aging and damage.

Do not fly your drone when it is too hot or too cold outside. Batteries are temperature sensitive, and extreme temperatures affect their performance and their life. If only the third LED light blinks three times a second, the Intelligent Flight Battery’s over-voltage charger is active, so a voltage issue is likely. The battery capacity starts decreasing with each cycle and you will see a reduced flight time as time goes on.Is it safe to store the MM2 batteries in the hub (no charger connected), or will it discharge the batteries over time?Couldn't find any reference in the hub manual.
