About this deal

NHS Hero Button Badge. White 25mm badge with NHS Hero written around a colourful rainbow. It is a reminder that our NHS are true heroes and the work they do it is vital, and we should be very grateful to them. If you want to show your support for our fabulous NHS service then this might be the badge for you. It's a small way of getting behind our emergency service workers and showing your gratitude to the National Health Service, let the world know how amazing our wonderful doctors, nurses and hospital staff are. We are in an unsettling time right now with the global health crisis and the stress and strain this is putting on our NHS. Our nurses and doctors are amazing and work selflessly to ensure we are kept safe and well. We have lots of NHS, nursing, hero and positive inspired badges in the shop, and they are a thoughtful way to boost morale and say thank you for all their incredible work. This one kind of speaks for itself, mainly used when visiting door to door or at trade fairs. Your design could be as simple as just saying SALE or certain percentages off. Company Badges Suicide can affect anybody and there isn’t a community in Somerset where people haven’t been touched by suicide. This includes people who have mental health first aid training. Groups likely to have had training include voluntary and community organisations, some workplaces and health and care workers. If you would like to become an Orange Button holder, you will need to have completed at least three hours of quality assured mental health or suicide prevention training. This is to ensure you are equipped with the skills to listen and signpost people.

People who are having thoughts of suicide, or who are worried about a friend or family member, can now “push the button” when they see someone wearing a distinctive orange badge, and ask them for information and support. Along with local NHS partners, Herefordshire and Worcestershire councils have adopted the orange button community scheme. The orange button is worn by people who have relevant training in mental health and suicide prevention. This group can now make their skills available to help those in need. This workshop enables learners to apply for their City and Guilds Level 4 in Suicide Prevention qualification and helps someone move from a place of danger and isolation to a place of safety and life support as a Suicide First Aider. This can be delivered either as a full day or two consecutive half days, either virtually or face to face. This workshop raises awareness of mental health conditions and equips learners with the skills to become Adult Mental Health First Aiders. This course can be delivered virtually across one week or face to face in two days. Only a minority of people, who died by suicide, are known to mental health services. We need to raise awareness within our community and spread the message that talking to someone in distress won’t make the situation worse. What is the Orange Button Scheme? All of the button badges on Kool Badges are hand made in our UK workshop. We have been making button badges for many years & know how to make great badges at the best prices. These formats are suitable for all types of print as long as they are vectored. Please note it’s likely any tinted areas of your artwork will be converted to a solid colour during the production process. A half day online or face to face training, exploring myths, facts and stigma around suicide. Understanding when someone is at risk and how to support them whilst gaining knowledge of what help is available both locally and nationally.

Whether a hospital staff member or an owner of a local shop, we can all make a difference in reaching out and offering support to those in need. We know that if someone is having suicidal thoughts, receiving support from someone else can make a big difference. This course is suitable for learners new to the subject of suicide or refreshing their skills. If you have attended the Suicide First Aid Lite programme within the last three years, you do not need to attend this upskill for young people. It is good practice to refresh your suicide prevention skills every three years. Mental Health First Aid
